City of Abidjan, Ivory Coast

Project Description:

The City of Abidjan, Ivory Coast has contacted the United States Embassy in Abidjan to request that the USTDA help provide financing to conduct for a feasibility study for the design, construction and operation for a controlled landfill. The Mayor of the City of Abidjan has provided a letter of endorsement for the consortium formed by Sadat International, Inc. (SII) and Edgeboro International, Inc. (EII) requesting that it be retained to perform the aforementioned study.

The goals of the feasibility study are:

• To develop a municipal solid waste treatment facility for the City of Abidjan in the Ivory Coast.
• To prepare a detailed study that can serve as a basis for a negotiated contract between the City of Abidjan and the consortium to implement the aforementioned solid waste management plan.
• To provide a competitive edge for US firms by specifying US equipment and technology
